Hi, my name is Lydía Angelíka Guðmundsdóttir. I’m 17 years old, born on the 20th April 1994. This is the 4th year that I live in Höfn. The first 3 years I lived on a dormitory, where there was just the two of us, but now I live with my boyfriend Gunnar Örn who is 17 years old and his family; his mom Ragna and his dad Olgeir. My family lives on a farm in the district Öræfi which is a about one hour drive west from Höfn. Sometimes I go home when I’m not in school. A part of the Öræfi region is one of the biggest National Park both in Iceland and Europe. My mom Sigrún (45 years old) is a teacher at the primary school in Öræfi and my dad Guðmundur (47 years old) is an engineer/machinist and works in a company called RST-Net so he is almost never home except on Christmas. I have one sibling who is younger than me, Páll Sigurgeir, he is 13 years old.

At the farm we have one dog, two horses and about fifty sheep. I love farm work and the nature. My interest are farm work especially horses, nature, babysitting, family, friends and travelling. In school I’m studying sociology but in the future I think I want to be a nurse.
